Cold shrinking actually made this worse. Hammer ON dolly banging does stretch and work harden the metal severely. So I had to dig out my ‘car melter’. As always, it will get fixed, and
I will complain. but as always, “this will be quick and easy”.

if you could just convince the guy to install a taller engine, that NEEDED a hole cut RIGHT THERE, that would be spectacular.
that is some time consuming work though, trying to some of those oil canning high/low spots out......... youre doing ALL the good........

just have to go back to put in some tension to deal with the oilcanning, then mud er up.
